Extended Library Services is a support system for students in Continuing & Distance Education courses to help you learn to find the library and information resources that you need to complete your course work.
Where do I begin?
Normally, your local library (whether a university, college, hospital or public library) should be your first resource for locating research material. There is often much more information available locally than you think!
However, if the resources and services available are not sufficient for your needs, Extended Library Services may be able to help.
What support is offered?
Depending on your situation, we may be able to provide:
- advice on library procedure
- solutions to problems with library cards
- document delivery of books and journal articles
- renewal of books on loan from StFX
- support for literature searches
- assistance in locating specific materials
- technical support with the use of electronic resources such as online journals
Some cost recovery charges, on services such as photocopying, apply.
Distance and Continuing Education Programs at StFX:
- Continuing & Distance Education
- Adult Education Department
- Master of Education Program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Ministry Programs
