You can now search for our in-house library resources much easier using our new integrated search system.
Ways to Narrow your Search
Too many search results? Here are some tips to narrow your search:
- Search StFX only - To narrow your search to results located at StFX only, find the "Narrow My Search" box on the right side of your search results page, and click 'StFX' in the "by Location" section.
- Mark a word as mandatory - To mark a word in your search as mandatory, add a plus (+) sign immediately in front of the word (no space). This means your search results must contain this word.Nova Scotia +Halifax
- Mark a word as "must not contain" - You can eliminate search results by adding a minus (-) sign immediately in front of a word (no space). For example, if you search for Nova Scotia but know you don't want any results about Halifax, you can instead search for Nova Scotia -Halifax.
- Add quotes - You can search for phrases by adding quotation marks around a group of words."Nova Scotia" -Halifax
